Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description Position Overview: Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Manufacturing Engineer.  The primary responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer are to: Support Engineering Manager by providing engineering support to production Support Engineering Manager in product development process ensuring product manufacturability Support plant resources to improve efficiency on complete product development process from concept to production Develop and implement a cost effective manufacturing strategy for product extensions and capacity increases to meet customer's production and delivery requirements Support plant in continual process and quality improvements   Scope: This position requires a person who can work independently and as part of a team May require guidance and support from supervisor.   This position has a key impact on plant profitability and value creation This position is weighted towards tactical execution and existing processes, but is also strategic in recommending improvements to future manufacturing processes.  This position does require a creative thinker who can analyze manufacturing processes/problems and recommend changes to process improvement/eliminate root cause Position Qualifications Required Qualifications:                                                                                    Bachelor's Degree 5+ years experience in: Mechanical design Manufacturing process troubleshooting Tooling cost estimating, quote preparation and project management   Preferred Qualifications:      Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing)  5+ years experience in tool design and build Working knowledge of general quality tools (SPC, DOE, FMEA, Fishbone, etc)   Skills and Abilities: Project management skills & ability to coordinate multiple projects Ability to analyze multiple potential solutions to derive at an optimum solution Ability to develop a manufacturing process flow Ability to develop specifications on process and equipment. Ability to read and interpret product, tool detail and assembly drawings including GD&T Ability to research, develop and implement new technology and manufacturing techniques. Good organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills General understanding of basic accounting for forecasting and estimations. Computer skills: 3-D CAD, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint Strong knowledge of GLSS principles and the ability to lead a quality or cost !improvement team to successful resolution Experience in statistical methods - SPC, DOE etc. Must be a team player Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
