National Service Manager for Rail Maintenance Equipment

Job purposeThe National Service Manager for Rail Maintenance Equipment is responsible for managing the overall service department and the hiring, on-boarding training, coordination and supervision of the group field service technicians and supervision of the field service technicians.
This position is the main point-of-contact for customer service-related inquiries, requests, and information.
Duties and responsibilities Provide quality service to all customers.
Ensure timely, consistent delivery of services and products purchased by customers.
Develop, deploy, and oversee training program for service technicians as needed.
Answer customer emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
Provide efficient resolutions to their issues.
Create job estimates, develop written repair proposals as requested by customers and provide quotes for repairs found during inspections.
Create required documentation and information job files and coordinate with office staff to maintain good record keeping of all service jobs.
Visit customers on location to evaluate potential service repairs, inspections, and new equipment in order to develop a quote.
See that all internal procedures are followed for executing, invoicing and closing jobs.
Review performance of jobs to determine accuracy of estimating and quoting.
Monitor levels of overtime hours as well as indirect labor.
Provide feedback and reviews of technicians according to company policy.
Assist field technicians as needed.
Coordinate with the company aftermarket parts group Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals and develop new clients Oversee and manage the service group budget and assets as well as financial performance results.
Other duties as assigned Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for the field service technicians QualificationsQualifications include:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance of capital equipment as a service technician or related field.
Prior supervisory and management experience is preferred.
Ability to lead others and effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
